At Permanent Makeup by Gwendoline – nothing gives us greater pleasure than to celebrate victory and overcoming with our beautiful warrior survivors.
You may feel concerned about taking that final step to freedom and restoration – we understand that. For this reason, with our lovely client’s permission, we have prepared this post to set your mind at ease. When professionally applied within a sterile environment and with proper home care, areola recolouring is a safe and minimally invasive procedure.
Our warm smiles will welcome you to our premises and after completing the obligatory forms, you will be ushered into the private treatment room. The first step is a thorough consultation with our highly experienced professional, during which, amongst many other things, we will discuss your desired result. Customised colour options will be recommended based on skin tone and decisions made. The areola size and general look-and-feel will be be discussed in every detail. A powerful topical anaesthetic will then be applied while you rest for 20 minutes.
Everything required during the procedure will be prepared and dispensed during this time. After removing the topical anaesthetic, the area will be sanitised. Using state-of-the-art equipment a circular impression will be applied central to the nipple. The colouring will commence immediately after, first capturing the impression outline (before it disappears).
Filling the main colour follows – carefully shading to create a realistic textured effect. Then the tiny capillaries and creases are applied using a minute nano needle. Finally the shadows and highlighted areas, together with montgomery glands are placed. A secondary topical gel anaesthetic is applied throughout the procedure to ensure your comfort – while the majority of clients take a nap.

The final result, while it will initially appear a little darker (until healed), will simply astound! You will be handed everything required for your home care healing and will leave feeling nothing short of pure elation.
Always do extensive homework before deciding on the artist you will trust to give you this final step to wholeness and normality – perfectly round ‘bullseye-type’ areolas are not natural looking…
Creativity plays an important role – in our practice, we perform these procedures from our heart to yours.
